3 HOLiFOOD Living Labs in 2025

June 2025 is the period in which HOLiFOOD organises the distinguished Living Labs around food safety issues.

HOLiFOOD Living Labs are dynamic, user-centered spaces where industry professionals, academics, government representatives, and civil society members collaborate to tackle real-world food safety challenges. 🤝

Your unique viewpoint and expertise are exactly what we need. Whether you’re developing new technologies, researching emerging risks, implementing regulations, or advocating for consumers, your contribution is valuable.

As such, there are 3 potential Living Labs to attend:

LL#2 Holistic risk assessment and acceptance (June 6th 2025)

This Living Lab will hold a workshop where stakeholders will engage in the co-creation process
to generate weights for the MCDA (Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis), which will help aggregate the five key dimensions of the supply chains.

This workshop will bring together current Living Lab participants, new ones, and experts in poultry and lentil supply chains.

LL#1 Identification and monitoring of food safety risks (June 18th 2025)

This Living Lab will test the dashboard with the three different tools with a test case, providing an interactive online workshop to collect feedback on the usability of the dashboard. We want to evaluate how users would use the tools and learn if they are willing to use them and if they able to find risks based on multiple observations at the same time.

LL#3 AI for food safety: “harnessing the power of predictive models through digital innovation” (June 19th 2025)

This last Living Labs is an hybrid event in collaboration with the EFRA project.

This interactive session will explore how AI can enhance food safety by detecting and predicting contamination risks through two AI-driven case studies .

You will have a chance to experiment with the innovative AI based tools and help us shape the future of predictive analytics for food safety.
